The software gives you both cents and hertz. The software does tap-tuning for tuning drum sounds. Inputing temperament tables is *much* easier on the software. And I actually find it much easier to get dead-on looking at the readout on the software (it can be difficult on the analog to tell if the wheel is at a true stop, and hurts my eyes). After testing it I can say the software agrees with the analog across the entire frequency spectrum, down to. Strobosoft vs Analog Strobe - As a tuning-nerd I was skeptical and figured it wouldn't compare to analog, but was wrong. Many tuners are just plain wrong (especially on bass) or only get you approximately there. So if you don't care to experiment with brands, you can trust a Peterson is going to be accurate to less than 1 cent, from sub bass to ultra-highs. Been meaning to post a report so here goes.įirst, Peterson is the name in tuning.
